Take-Two’s recent financial results revealed big sales numbers for its latest titles, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Borderlands 3.

While Rockstar Games is still dealing with its co-founder’s departure this coming March, Take-Two (the company’s parent company) is currently enjoying the quite frankly massive sales of its most recent games.

Although Red Dead Redemption 2’s initial PC release was rather rocky due to a number of technical issues, that and the game’s Stadia release helped push sales from 26.5 million units shipped to 29 million, as confirmed by Take-Two during a call to investors.

A separate report from SuperData revealed that digital sales of the game more than doubled from 406k to 1 million following its Steam release in December, since it was initially exclusive to the Rockstar Game Launcher and the Epic Games Store for a month.

And because Take-Two loves big numbers, it also noted that Grand Theft Auto 5 has shipped over 120 million units in its lifetime. Combined with Red Dead Redemption 2’s numbers, that makes over 150 million units sold worldwide.

As for Gearbox’s Borderlands 3, while it was kind of more of the same as its predecessor, that hasn’t stopped it from selling nearly 8 million units since it was released in September.

In fact, when compared to Borderlands 2, user growth has gone up by 50% within the same lifecycle, and Take-Two fully expect lifetime unit sales to be a record for the franchise.

With Borderlands 3 out on Stadia as well, and a Steam release coming at some point in the near future, that possibility seems very likely.

Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Borderlands 3 are all available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
