Nintendo Switch is looking for another banner year, with a whole host of exciting games coming in 2020.

However that’s not to say that there aren’t already a host of excellent games out there to get excited about.

While Nintendo super fans patiently await the opening of Super Nintendo World in Orlando, let’s take a look at our current pick of the best games for the Switch.

Divinity: Original Sin II

Metro.co.uk gave this game a perfect 10/10, and that seems to be a pretty universal opinion.

The role-playing game is currently the highest reviewed Nintendo Switch game on Metacritic, aggregating a massive score of 93.

In our review, the game was described as having highly complex character creation, an excellent battle system and great multiplayer options.

Astral Chain

Giving the game a 9/10 in our review, it was described as a crazy epic with some of the best combat of the generation.

The action game from the creators of Bayonetta sees you join part of a police special task force, fighting against mysterious, alien-like creatures who have invaded the world.

A classic action game filled with a sense of goofy fun.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition

Getting an 8/10 in our review, the game – formerly an Xbox One exclusive – was met with rave reviews after joining the Nintendo universe.

The game marries stunning visuals, an imaginative setting, flawless gameplay, developed characters and an emotional narrative, to earn its place as one of the best games to play on Nintendo Switch.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

As Sydney Prescott says in Scream 4, don’t f**k with the original.

Nothing proves this more than when Nintendo remade the Game Boy classic for the Switch.

Getting an 8/10 in our review, the game was praised for giving the classic title the star treatment with new visual style and excellent designs.

Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition

One of the newest games included on the list, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition was released on 28 January 2020 and has already more than earned its place on this list.

In our 8/10 review, the game was hailed as one of the strangest storytelling adventures of the generation that was well worth the wait.

Boasting a fascinating story with an undeniable atmosphere and themes which will leave you thinking long after playing each act, this new game is worth adding to your collection fast.
