Call Of Duty: Warzone infinite revival bug fixed

Didn’t take long for that to get fixed (pic: Activision)

The ability to continually revive teammates in Call Of Duty: Warzone might have been welcomed by some but it’s just been patched out.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’s free-to-play battle royale mode, Warzone, had only been out for a few days and players already managed to find an exploit in it.

Initially discovered by Reddit user MightyKonsti,, there was a way for players to infinitely revive their teammates for free. They found this out during a session where they and another player found themselves stuck in the map’s deathzone – a ring of gas that acts as the perimeter of the play area.

They realised that they could revive each other repeatedly, ensuring that they could not only not die but essentially win the match, since reviving team members contributes to the final score.

Funnily enough, MightyKonsti shared this detail so that developer Infinity Ward would realise and fix the issue, rather than share it for other players to use and try to easily win matches.

‘Please help us to get the developers attention!!! This has to be fixed or otherwise the game experience will suffer if more and more people start doing this’ they wrote.

It didn’t take long for Infinity Ward to get the message. That very same day, it released a patch that removed the bug. It didn’t go into much detail about how it was fixed but at least it was quick on the uptake.

This
will hopefully be a precedent for speedy updates and fixes should any other
bugs or glitches be discovered.

Now,
if you’re playing a match and get killed, you’ll have to return to the game the
way it was intended with the
Gulag feature
, where you and another player engage in a one-on-one fight.

Call Of Duty: Warzone is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
