No Apple Event On 16 March - Mark Gurman

Last week, Economic Daily News reported that Apple was set to hold a press event on 16 March (probably to announce a new iPad Pro and new iPad mini). At the time we questioned the accuracy of the claim – it was based on two Twitter accounts with no track record to speak of – although it did fit with a prediction that Jon Prosser made back in October.

Bloomberg’s Apple reporter Mark Gurman has now stepped in, writing on Twitter that Apple has no plans for an event on 16 March (as reported by MacRumors).

Gurman responded to a tweet discussing a possible March 16 event with a seemingly straightforward contradiction: “There won’t end up being one.”

One site interpreted this as meaning there might not be an Apple event in the whole of March, but Gurman hurried to clarify that “I was referring to no event on March 16”. Which suggests that there could still be an Apple spring event at another time in the month.
